The Certificate in Leadership is an online, part-time 6-credit program for working professionals. This certificate aims to provide students with an understanding of the leadership frameworks and behavioral processes at multiple levels of organizations.

What You’ll Gain
The leadership certificate will focus on skills needed to analyze organizational structure, gain management knowledge and assume leadership roles helping the organization to achieve strategic objectives for technical and business projects within the bioscience industry. Topics and skills include:
- Critically analyze, and describe main concepts of organizational behavior.
- Recognize links between the foundational, conceptual, applied, and practical aspects that the of organizations.
- Compare and contrast the use of leadership styles and power bases in motivating employees to be effective.
- Develop a perception and develop an awareness of sources of power, influence tactics, and leadership styles.
- Recognize and explain team dynamics and approaches to participative decision-making.
- Critically examine the real-world implications of leadership in a corporate context.

The Admissions Committee is made up of faculty and senior administrators who will thoroughly and conscientiously review each application. Applications will be considered in the context of the total applicant pool, as well as in relationship to our general admissions standards. We do not use arbitrary grade point or test score cutoffs.
All admissions decisions are final for the academic year in which they are rendered.
